— my coffee is really, really good this morning.
— I went to bed last night (after falling asleep on the couch) with a headache. I still have the headache this morning. It’s located in my right temple, which is where I get tension headaches.
Yes, I might be under a wee bit o’stress right now.
— Yesterday was my ladies’ choir performance. I went to work, came home and picked up my daughter, drove to the performance, played for the performance, drove my daughter back home, changed my clothes, and went back to work. It was a very long day.
— Ladies’ choir is now done until September.
—I am not exercising like I need to. Sitting at a desk all day is not helping this endeavor, either.
—My temporary full-time job is NOT stressful, other than for the fact that I sit at a computer monitor all day. Oh, and one pompous douchebag who sucks the very air out of my cubicle when he comes into pontificate. I put on my headphones — usually Godsmack — and completely ignore him. He has not said a single thing in the 4 weeks I’ve been there that has been helpful to me doing my job, and he’s supposed to be a “Lead”.
— I’ve seen The Avengers three times now. I have enjoyed it immensely all three times. Will go see it again in the theater if I have the opportunity to do so.
— I suspect my tension headache is because of this weekend — my daughter has a birthday and is having a slumber party, I have my wedding anniversary, and on the same day as my wedding anniversary, my father-in-law died 5 years ago. I think I’ve got enough emotional upheaval to deal with.
— Of all the things that are emotionally draining, my anniversary is really the one that’s bugging me. I don’t think I want to talk about that right now. Nope, I really don’t.
— Frogs are not my favorite animal, although I really do enjoy looking at them. Dolphins and bears are my favorite animals. Totoro is my favorite non-real “animal”.
— Zac Brown and Jimmy Buffet are my boon companions at work. Godsmack is there to drown out pompous douchebaggery, but Zac Brown and Jimmy Buffet sing in my ears all day long. That plan I had for listening to different CDs everyday? Sort of not happening. I listened to Aldo Nova (80s band) and it left me cold. Apocalyptica was fun and I enjoyed that. B-52s discography was fun, too, but I keep coming back to Zac Brown and Jimmy Buffet, so here I am for a while, I think.
— I skipped Alice in Chains and a few others. Feeling “meh” about trying them.
— We have actual veggies and watermelons growing in our gardens. *SO* excited for this.
Why stop at steak? SPARKLE ALL FOOD!Salt Glitter
Mix 1/4 cup of salt with a 1/2 teaspoon of food coloring in a small bowl until the salt is uniformly colored. Spread the mixture out in an even layer on a foil-lined baking sheet. Bake in the oven for ten minutes. Allow your homemade glitter to cool before using it or storing it. And that’s it!:)
wait wait wait.
does that mean you can EAT it.
Who has two thumbs and intends to eat a rainbow steak in her future?
Yes!!!!!
My daughter will have a fan-girl moment when I show her this. The glitter will never, ever end if I let her do this.
I am thinking that’s a good thing, not a bad thing, lest you think I am complaining.
*laughter*

NIH Study: Coffee Really Does Make You Live Longer
Caffeine addicts, rejoice: all the coffee you’re downing over the course of a day could be lengthening your lifespan. For real.
According to research published today in the New England Journal of Medicine, people who drank four or five cups of coffee a day tended to live longer than those who drank only a cup or less. The benefit was more pronounced for women, but men also stand to gain somewhat from pounding joe.
